What are 18K white gold and 18K rose gold ?
K (karat) refers to the gold content and purity, and LUXQUISITE uses 18K gold with a content of up to 75%, the same specification as well-known jewelry brands on the market.
Why not use 24K pure gold? Because of its high ductility, metal is not suitable for making jewelry, as it is easily deformed by impact.
Therefore, karat gold was created by combining gold with other metals to avoid the very soft nature of gold and to make its color more suitable for today's popular jewelry. This process increases its hardness, toughness, and allows it to display different colors.
18K white gold
18K white gold is a white alloy made by melting gold with palladium or other metals such as nickel, silver, copper, and zinc. More accurately, 18K white gold is 18K white karat gold, which is 75% gold mixed with 25% palladium or other metals such as nickel, silver, and copper, but the main component is still gold.
18K Rose Gold
Rose gold is composed of pure gold, copper, silver, and zinc. The primary component is still gold.
Will 18k gold tarnish ? Is it safe to wear while showering ?
18k gold is not colored by electroplating, and with a gold content of up to 75%, it will not fade under normal circumstances. The only exception is excessive wear and tear, which may expose the original gold color, creating the illusion of fading. Furthermore, 18k gold is safe to get wet, but contact with excessive chemicals should be avoided.
How should I maintain 18K gold?
Please wipe down jewelry that you will not wear for a long time and store it in an airtight place. This will not only extend the life of the jewelry but also prevent dust from accumulating.
Do your products come with maintenance/care ?
LUXQUSITE offers a one-year warranty. Within one year of purchase, we will provide repair services for damages including (lost stones/broken chains/broken earrings, etc.), and the cost will vary depending on the circumstances.
